SCAPT will be hosting a NAPT 208 Professional Development Course, Parent, Administrator, Board, and Public Outreach course on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Richland Northeast High School Auditorium in
Columbia. (This is same location we have held the NAPT for the past few years). The class will start at 9 am and conclude by 1 pm.
208 - Parent, Administrator, Board and Public Outreach
This four-hour class gives tips on working with the media, school staff,
community groups and parents to promote understanding of student
transportation issues and needs. Learn how to identify problems and
develop appropriate messaging using both time-tested
and innovative mediums. This is a valuable course for transportation
managers who want to strengthen community relations.
no other cost for the course, unless you are not a NAPT member and wish
to obtain a certificate. You will need to work with NAPT on the issue.
If you are
an NAPT member, you will receive a certificate from them. The workbook
fee may be paid the day of the course. If you are paying by check,
please make sure to make it payable to SCAPT.
